How to get involved

Held annually during the month of October, hundreds of veterinary clinics across Ontario hold special events and creative fundraisers to raise funds and awareness for the Farley Foundation.

If your clinic would like to fundraise for this year’s campaign, confirm your participation and place an order for free fundraising kits.

What is Fundraise for Farley Month?

Fundraise for Farley Month, presented by Virbac VETERINARY HPM® Pet Nutrition, takes place every year during the month of October. Funds raised help pet owners in financial need, including seniors, disabled individuals and other low-income individuals, by subsidizing the cost of veterinary care for their sick or injured pets. There are many fun and creative ways for clinics to fundraise! Some ideas include asking clients to round up or add to their invoices; donate proceeds from nail trims, microchipping or other services for the month; or hold a pet photo shoot, colouring contest, raffle or bake sale. The list goes on!

Yes! Clinics that go the extra mile during Fundraise for Farley Month can win great prizes, such as a team lunch and free registration to OVMA’s upcoming Conference and Trade Show.

Donations made through your clinic’s online fundraising page (Givecloud) are automatically receipted. Offline cash donations of $25 or more are also eligible for a tax receipt, provided no benefit is received. Tax receipts cannot be issued for raffles, silent auctions, 50/50 draws, ticketed events, in-kind donations (for example, donated items or services) or cash donations under $25.
