Because of your generosity, the Farley Foundation had another meaningful and impactful year. More than 1,743 pets across Ontario accessed urgent veterinary care when their families needed help most.
We’re proud to share the highlights from the past year in our 2024-2025 Annual Impact Report, and to say a heartfelt thank you to every donor, veterinary clinic and community partner who made it possible.
Who we helped this year
In the 2024-2025 fiscal year, 1,743 pets received subsidized urgent veterinary care — from life-saving surgeries and emergency hospitalization to diagnostic imaging and treatment for severe illness. The pets helped included 960 dogs, 747 cats, and a wonderful mix of birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, reptiles and more.
The families behind these pets represent some of Ontario’s most vulnerable communities. This year, the foundation supported 915 Ontario Disability Support Program recipients, 206 Ontario Works recipients, 180 seniors on the Guaranteed Income Supplement and 122 Canada Pension Plan Disability recipients. We also helped 55 pets supported through the SafePet Ontario program, which is up from just 10 the year prior — a 450 per cent increase thanks to a new granting approach.
“Having the Farley Foundation was a life changing experience. My dog Finn means the world to me, and I rely on him heavily for emotional support and everyday activities. I could never put into words how grateful I am.” ~ Amanda
Support reached 11 regions across Ontario, from northern Ontario to southwestern communities, with the largest concentration in the Greater Toronto Area and central Ontario (1,194 pets).

A big year for fundraising
This year’s fundraising results were exceptional, and we’re deeply grateful to everyone who contributed. Mississippi Veterinary Services was the top clinic fundraiser for the fourth consecutive year, raising $15,000 on its own. A heartfelt thank you to every clinic, volunteer and donor who made these campaigns possible.
New this year
The Farley Pack — a new way to give monthly
This year marked the official launch of The Farley Pack, the Foundation’s monthly giving program. Recurring donors provide the steady, reliable funding that allows us to respond faster to urgent cases and plan ahead for the families who need us most. If you haven’t already, consider joining the pack, every monthly gift adds up to real change.
A refreshed brand identity
After nearly 25 years, the Farley Foundation unveiled a revitalized look and feel — one that better reflects our mission, our heart and the communities we serve. We’re proud of the organization we’ve become, and excited for what comes next.
The Farley Foundation webinar series
We launched a new series of free online webinars for pet owners, featuring veterinarians sharing practical care tips. Topics included pet first aid and a session called The Lion in Your Living Room. More sessions are planned, so watch your inbox!
“Giving monthly to the Farley Foundation lets me be part of something bigger, something that changes lives.” ~ Esmari
Looking ahead
Our 2023-2027 strategic plan keeps us focused and ambitious. We’re working toward doubling the number of pets we support annually (from 1,000 to 2,000) by increasing per-clinic funding, deepening engagement with Ontario’s veterinary community, growing our donor base and proactively identifying communities with the greatest need.
Currently about 40 per cent of Ontario Veterinary Medical Association member clinics access Foundation funding. We’re working every year to bring more veterinary teams into the fold, so more families across the province can hear “yes” when they need it most.
None of this happens without you. Your belief in our mission continues to ensure that financial hardship never stands in the way of compassionate veterinary care. Together, we’re building a brighter future for pets and the people who love them across Ontario.
