Mark Your Calendar - Ride for Farley 2010 is Saturday, September 11

In October 2009, fifty-one riders cycled from Milton to Guelph and back, raising more than $74,000 for people and pets in need. All funds raised from the event went directly to the Farley Foundation to assist seniors, disabled individuals and women at risk of abuse who are participating in OVMA's SafePet Program by helping them pay for the non-elective veterinary care of their pets.

Planning has already begun for the 2010 Ride for Farley, to be held on Saturday, September 11, and the Farley Foundation wants to make the 2010 event our biggest Ride for Farley yet! Our goal is to enlist 100 cyclists, and we hope to raise at least $100,000 for the Farley Foundation.

Participation is currently limited to veterinarians and animal health professionals, but anyone can get involved. Find out if any veterinarians in your community will be participating, and make a donation to their Ride!

If you are a veterinarian or veterinary health professional interested in participating in this year's Ride for Farley, please contact Julia Hayes, Communications Coordinator at jhayes@ovma.org
