Friends of Farley

Each year, veterinary clinics across the province participate in Fundraise for Farley Month in October. Veterinarians and their staff are encouraged to make their campaigns as creative as possible. In the past several years there have been some great community-based events such as doggy walk-a-thons, dog washes, dog Olympics, dog treat bake sales, pet fairs, pet costume parties, fashion shows and much more.

The Farley Foundation recognizes the outstanding fundraising efforts of veterinary clinics across Ontario, and honours them in various “Friend of Farley” categories:

The overall top fundraiser is awarded the title of Official Farley Foundation Ambassador . The winners in this category get a free staff lunch, and have the opportunity to serve as official media representativs for the Farley Foundation throughout the year.

Practices that raise over $5,000 during October are awarded Gold Friend of Farley status, and will recieve:

  • A Fundraise for Farley Month plaque and/or a 2010 "Gold Friend of Farley " plate for the plaque
  • Special recognition in OVMA's Focus magazine and on the Farley Foundation website
  • Two complimentary registrations (one veterinarian, one technician or hospital personnel) to the joint 2011 AAHA/OVMA Conference & Trade Show
  • A commemorative Farley gift

Practices that raise at least $2,500 during October are awarded Silver Friend of Farley status, and will recieve:

  • A Fundraise for Farley Month plaque and/or a 2010 "Silver Friend of Farley" plate for the plaque
  • Recognition in OVMA's Focus magazine and on the Farley Foundation website
  • One complimentary registration (veterinarian) for the 2011 OVMA/AAHA Conference & Trade Show

Practices that raise at least $1,000 during October are awarded Bronze Friend of Farley status, and will recieve:

  • A Fundraise for Farley Month plaque and/or a 2010 "Bronze Friend of Farley" plate for the plaque
  • Recognition in OVMA's Focus magazine and on the Farley Foundation website

Honorary Friend of Farley is awarded to those who have made significant contributions to the Farley Foundation.
